As a graphic design student you may very likely find yourself in the position of being offered freelance design work by people you know. You may already be running your own design business, or thinking about setting up in partnership with someone else. It’s important that you know the basics of running your own business before you start – and it can be confusing when you begin. For example, do you know what an invoice is? Are you registered for tax? How much should you charge for your work?
Luckily, LCC is home to a service that will answer all these questions and more. The Enterprise Centre for the Creative Arts (ECCA) offers free creative business services and facilities for all UAL students. These include:
